Haven’t I Been Here Before?

 

Warm-up with a DevotionalHaven’t I Been Here Before? With this WOD being titled “circle back”, I think of how many times in life I have “circled back” to the same place in life. It may come in the form of repeating the same mistake, falling back into the same habits, or reliving a memory that keeps me holding on to unforgiveness , anger or unanswered questions. Circling back reminds me that there is still something I need to give up to God. Even when we don’t know how, there may be something we’re holding onto that prevents us from moving forward or may slow us down on our path.  But Psalms 55:22 reads “Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. (NLT)”

Give your BURDENS to Him. Lift them up to Him. Don’t just leave it there for the next cycle, for the next “circle back” . Give them to Him, He’ll know what to do with it.

Skillwork – Renew The Mind: Read Psalm 55:22, 1 Peter 5:7. What have you been circling back to in life?

WOD – Worship of the Day:  Lord, I pray that each time I am tempted to “circle back”, I will be reminded that You have promised to take care of me. Instead of holding onto what I have, I will give it up to You.
